is there a new worm / trojan virus going around the past day or so? ( serious pop up problem )?
I was wondering if there is some sort of new worm or virus going around the past day or so, about 3 in the afternoon today my dad called me over to look at his PC, and he was getting pop ups, TONS of them, anywhere from 3 to 15, soon as you close them more would pop up, reboot and the same, it even changed his desktop wall paper to some add.
I have ran a virus check twice, and 2 adaware spywhere checks, deleted all cookies and all temp internet files and it still does it, tried to do a system roll back to a previous point but it is saying there are no points befor 300 oclock today that can be rolled back too.
I remember a few years ago they had a worm that would pop up and tell you your PC was going to shut down in like 2 minutes and everyone thought it was a virus but it wasnt, this seems like that but im unsure.
anyway if anyone has any ideas on things i can do to help / fix the problem with out doing a factory restore it would be apreciated ( no factory restore cd atm )
Id like to add, that its not just pop ups, but when no one is using the comp but its hooked up to the internet it will actualy open internet explorer browser to a page with adds on it.
on top of that it keeps adding new icons to the desktop as well as changing his desktop wallpaper.
it seems no matter how many virus scans and spywear searchs I run ( and ive run alot ) I cant get ahead of it, it always finds a torjan virus, and lots of spywears, deletes them, then the problem starts all over again 2 minutes later.
This is not a problem at all. Here's what you need to do.
1st, don't waste your time with AVG, true sword, spybot, ad aware, CA, spyhunter, superantispyware, avast, panda, kaspersky, spyware blaster, bitdefender, spyware guard, windows defender or anything of the sort. Stay away from anything that is FREE when it comes to spyware and antivirus. There is a reason why they free. They are NOT good.
2nd, You need some of the best software out there. Norton Systemworks is very good. That's the only good software from Norton. I wouldn't recommend Norton Internet security, its not that great. Now the best software you should get is Webroot AntiVirus With AntiSpyware & Firewall, formally known as Webroot's Spysweeper with Anti-virus, this software is too good and gets better everyday. This is Elite software. It blocks over 455,000 definition threats, which contain multiple fringerprints with each(you can do the math). No other software can compete with that or come close for that matter. It catches everything: viruses, spyware, adware, malware, root kits, keyloggers, trojans, worms, and anything else. It also has active shields and a Firewall which learns from your useage. I've used them all and it is 2nd to none.
3rd, after you install and update the software, since its in your system you will have to turn off system restore and then go into safe mode and run the scan and eliminate the virus. then after removal, reboot and turn system restore back on.
4th, (Optional) Now if you for some reason don't go for Webroot's software. I recommend a Firewall from Zone Alarm, their free version is so good. Or you can buy their Pro version, but the free version will do more than the job.

Where can I BUY food products like flour that is made with worms?
I saw on tv that they are using worms to make flour ect that is high in protien. Where can I purchase such items?
I am not wanting to add worms or make it myself! I am asking where can you purchase the items I saw (on tv) that are processed in a factory. They clean them out, dry them and make the products with the worm powder.

I had tried many searches but most resulted in either fishing bait or composting. My son did composting for last years science fair and this year wanted to take worms to the next level…food. From eating our trash to eating our trash eaters. Gross I know. He's a boy. Thank you sooo much!
