a good idea would be to cover the top of the castings/ food scarps with a couple of sheets of wet newspaper to help keep it dry your worms will thank you for it or wet carpet ;)

    The only worms that …
The only worms that regenerate when chopped in half are planarians. If you have those in your worm bins you are in trouble. There are species of planarians that feed on earthworms, and have wiped out entire populations!! If you slice a typical earthworm in half, it is toast.

    Right (worms are …
Right (worms are hermaphrodites. Male and female at the same time), Of course, if you shop in half any worm it will die. Some worms have 5 hearts (they need them to pump their movements) and the parts keep on moving for a short time when they’re cut in half, but they’ll die. They DO NOT regenerate like this video says.

Do I have to get rid of them? How?
    Thanks 4 your answers

    -hotglue another …
-hotglue another tub to the top of that one with holes big enough for the worms to fit drilled between the two tubs. -fill the above tub or ‘drawer’ with organic matter/compost and then the worms will start coming up through the holes in droves to their new food source. not even worms like to live in their own so you’ll have a nice tub o black gold. next up: how to get compost tea out of the setup..

Hi :) A fork might save worms from being cut in half. The head end might survive but they generally die.
