    Thanks for the info. I water the raised beds with a drip system. I think what may have happened is I touched that squash a few days before and I hope that was the reason for the rotting. Wow, wait a minute. I have been spraying my neem oil and and soap mixture at dusk. I bet Thats it! Thanks for getting my brain in gear.

    How do you water the plants? Some plants don’t like water to touch their actual leaves and fruit, they only want the water in their soil, like soaker hoses or drip irrigation. Especially if they are native to hot dry climates, like tomatoes, peppers, some melons, etc. In the wild, they would greow near rivers, so their roots would get watered, but everything above ground stayed fairly dry. Perhaps prop the fruits up off the ground and just soil water, if you don’t already :) Best wishes.
